Today the Imagicon Foundation will officially say goodbye to our PR manager Heidi van der

Vloet. From the very early start on, back in 2013, when Imagicon was no more than an idea called

Galaxy Con, Heidi has worked tirelessly and with a great deal of enthusiasm to help our

convention get started and get organized. Over the years she took on the position of PR

manager as member of the board and we have her tireless efforts to thank for the fact that

Imagicon as a brand continues to spread out across the Internet.

Next to all this PR work Heidi also found time to collaborate with the Dutch Time Travellers’

Association (DTTA) to launch a crowdfunding effort to get a real 3D TARDIS made, and it

worked! The DutchTARDIS has been travelling from event to event for the past year to get its

picture taken with everyone and anyone. Heidi  is also a board member of the ‘Stichting ter

Bevordering van het Fantastische Genre’ (’SBFG’, a foundation to help promote the fantastical

genre), which was responsible for organizing the Mass Signing of Dutch authors at Imagicon 3.0.

Dear Heidi, on behalf of all the board members, both current and former, I wish you all the best

and lots of success with the hard work that you’ll undoubtedly be doing for all the other clubs

and organizations you’re a part of. You will absolutely be missed and it certainly won’t be the

easiest task in the world to find someone who can take your place.

Thank you for everything and we’ll see you at the fourth Imagicon as a visitor!
